James Hudson

Co-Founder at Dynomics

James Hudson has worked in a variety of roles since 2003. James began as a Student Engineer for BHP Billiton in 2003, followed by a Student Researcher at the University of Queensland in 2004. In 2006, they were an Engineering Tutor at the University of Queensland. James then worked as a Student Engineer for GHD in 2005. In 2010, they were a Research Officer at the University of Queensland, where they developed protocols to generate heart cells from pluripotent stem cells. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Goettingen, where they developed and optimized a new universal protocol to produce heart cells from pluripotent stem cells, and a new serum-free protocol to fabricate force generating bio-engineered human heart tissue. From 2013 to 2018, they were the Head Cardiac Regeneration Lab at The University of Queensland. In 2020, they became a Co-Founder of Dynomics.

James Hudson obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biotechnology from The University of Queensland between 2007 and 2010. James also obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the same university between 2003 and 2006.
