Jonathan Murphy is an accomplished engineering professional with a robust background in research and development, currently serving as the Head of Research And Development at Dyson since April 2014. With over a decade of experience in fluid dynamics and aerodynamics, Jonathan has led teams specializing in innovative technology solutions for the Dyson Floorcare category. Previous roles include Group Heat Transfer Methods Engineer at Titanx Engine Cooling AB, where Jonathan developed advanced CAD/CAE methods, and a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer at the Dublin Institute of Technology. Jonathan holds a PhD in CFD and biomechanical engineering, as well as a B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering, reinforcing a strong academic foundation that supports extensive industry expertise.
