Michael Liccone is a seasoned engineering and technology leader with global expertise in designing, building and managing cutting-edge solutions, products, and organizations in the telecommunication industry. As founder and President of Greater Sigma, Inc., Michael provides engineering design services for technology start-up companies across Internet-of-Things (IoT), wireless access, consumer wearables, cybersecurity and media streaming industries. His efforts typically target system architecture definition, prototype design, and project planning in support of early-stage funding activities. Recently as Sr. Vice President of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer at Veea Inc., a privately owned 5G access and edge-computing start-up, Michael co-founded the New Jersey based operation and oversaw the global engineering organization. Along with leading all platform commercialization efforts through mass production for multiple product offerings, Michael was also the visionary behind the architecture and design of STAX, an innovative smart computing wireless access hub. As Sr. Director of Engineering at Qualcomm Inc., Michael managed the New Jersey based hardware design team which focused on 3G, 4G and 5G Small Cell System-on-Chip (SoC)hardware system and integrated platform design. During his 12+ years there, he also provided frontline technical leadership to the global business development and sales teams, where he led multiple executive level engagements with partners and customers. Prior to his time at Qualcomm, Michael held various technical staff positions across Lucent Technologies Bell Labs and other telecommunication start-ups. His focus was on embedded system design for optical and wireline core network equipment. Michael has over 23 years designing telecommunication equipment for infrastructure, mobile, and retail. He holds both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from University of Delaware.
