Jana Swartz, SPHR has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jana started their career in 1994 as an Executive Assistant- Public Relations at Barrett Resources Corporation. In this role, they supported the CFO and legal counsel, managed senior projects, and maintained an investor relations database.
In 2002, Jana joined Frontier Airlines, where they held various positions such as Ramp Service Agent and Ramp Services Coordinator/Agent. Jana was responsible for aircraft handling, coordination with flight crews and airport operations, and managing crews in the transfer cargo department. Jana also actively participated in the safety committee.
Moving on, Jana worked at Sungard Availability Services from 2010 to 2014 as an Office Manager, On-boarding. Their responsibilities included examining ethical behaviors, contributing to total rewards strategies, and supporting HRBP's and division managers in change initiatives.
From 2014 to 2016, they served as a Human Resource Coordinator at Nestlé Waters North America, where they acted as a change agent for talent acquisition and managed hourly employees.
In 2016, Jana joined Delt Services, LLC as a Human Resource Representative, where they focused on driving change, promoting a positive working environment, and optimizing resources to achieve objectives.
Their most recent role is at E2 Optics, where they joined in 2017 as a Human Resources Manager and later transitioned to the position of Human Resources Director. In this position, they have led various projects such as benefits review, employee handbook revision, and compliance and risk management. Jana is also involved in upcoming projects related to employee recognition and enhanced learning and development.
Throughout their career, Jana has demonstrated expertise in various HR areas, such as performance management, employee relations, retention, and employee development. Jana has also been involved in strategic initiatives and has shown strong leadership skills, collaborating with leadership teams to perpetuate a values-driven culture.
Jana Swartz, SPHR, has a strong educational background with a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management from Colorado State University, which they obtained from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Marketing at Metropolitan State College from 2005 to 2009. In addition to their academic achievements, they have also obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from HRCI in April 2018.
