Jake Simmons

Jake Simmons has over 10 years of work experience in various roles, primarily in software engineering and development. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Software Engineering at Eaglebrook Advisors. Prior to this, they worked as a Principal Software Engineer at the same company.

From 2017 to 2020, Jake served as the Director of Software Engineering at CRCOMM, where they led a team of 20 developers and 3 managers. In this role, they were responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting software projects. Jake also played a key role in defining products through collaboration with product managers and engineers.

In 2019, Jake worked as a Software Architect at Grant Thornton LLP (US), where they contributed to designing, developing, and deploying a blockchain application commissioned by the accounting network.

Earlier in their career, Jake co-founded Sytrix Lab Technologies Inc. in 2016, where they developed an innovative automated vision inspection platform for part and component manufacturers. Jake also worked as a Software Architect at AddEaton by Numalliance, where they designed and deployed an IoT cloud solution.

Before that, Jake gained experience as a Software Developer at Veracity North and as a Web Developer at Lone Wolf Real Estate Technologies. Jake began their career at TD as a Solutions Developer, where they supported day-to-day operations within TDCT Technology Solutions.

Throughout their career, Jake has demonstrated expertise in software design and architecture, IoT, M2M communication, ASP.NET, and scripting languages such as SAS and COBOL. Jake has a strong track record of leading teams, delivering high-quality software solutions, and contributing to the growth and success of organizations.

Jake Simmons completed their education in 2013 at Conestoga College, where they obtained a degree in Computer Programmer/Analyst with a focus on Computer Science. Furthermore, they have achieved several certifications from Microsoft, including MCSD: App Builder and MCSD: Web Applications in 2015, MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional in 2015, and MS: Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 in 2014. In 2016, they obtained the certification of MCSD: App Builder.
