Jeff Lapierre is a Lightning Scientist at Earth Networks since June 2017, with prior experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Virginia from January 2016 to March 2017, focusing on the production of NOx from lightning and its implications for ozone and greenhouse gases. Between 2009 and December 2015, Jeff served as a Research Assistant at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, where responsibilities included developing electric field sensors, deploying microphones for channel mapping, and creating a radio frequency interferometer for lightning analysis. Jeff earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Atmospheric Physics and Instrumentation from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Physics from Bishop's University.
