Aidan Wells

2024 West Coast Ocean Protection Ambassador at EarthEcho International

Aidan Wells is an Environmental Scientist at SCS Engineers, focusing on fieldwork and environmental monitoring for construction projects, while also utilizing ArcGIS for data mapping and report preparation. As the 2024 West Coast Ocean Protection Ambassador for EarthEcho International, Aidan collaborates with organizations to promote the Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary and develops educational curricula for teachers. Aidan is the founder of Climate Cafe SLO, the first youth climate conference in San Luis Obispo, and (re)teach, an intersectional environmental education platform. Additional roles include FXB Climate Advocate, Education Outreach Coordinator for Diverseas | Ocean Literacy, and Urban Trees Program Technician at the Environmental Center of San Luis Obispo. Aidan's prior experience includes internships in market analysis and consulting, as well as roles in the service industry. Aidan holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management and a minor in Indigenous Studies in Natural Resources from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
