Kelsey Russo - Nixon

Kelsey Russo-Nixon is a dedicated Geo Workforce Associate and Internship Lead at EarthScope Consortium since January 2023, managing the Geo-Launchpad program aimed at community college students exploring geosciences. Prior experience includes a long tenure at UNAVCO, where Kelsey has contributed significantly as a Geo Workforce Associate and Education and Community Engagement Generalist since February 2016, leading the Geo-Launchpad Internship Program with responsibilities including budget management, program expansion, and partnership development. Additional roles at Chicago Botanic Garden and Inspire a Nation Business Mentoring provided Kelsey with valuable project management and outreach experience. Kelsey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth, Society, and Environmental Sustainability from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an Associate of Science degree from the College of Lake County.
