Karolina Jiménez has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Starting in 2013, they worked as an intern in the Commercial Department at the Embassy of the United States in Costa Rica. Karolina then moved on to roles at Procter & Gamble, where they provided support in budget management services and worked as a forecast analyst.
In 2016, Karolina joined FLOCERT as a Certifications Coordinator & Applications Analyst. In 2020, Karolina joined Pineapple Workshop as a Software Developer and introduced the organization to agile methodology and implemented front-end architecture improvements. Karolina also planned, developed, and maintained web and eCommerce applications using ReactJs, NextJs, and Golang.
In their current role as a Senior Software Engineer at Backcountry, Karolina is involved in optimizing and developing features for the Core eCommerce Department. Karolina is actively working on modernizing the website by migrating the front-end pages and focusing on optimization and feature implementation for the Cart, Checkout, and Receipt Pages.
Most recently, Karolina joined Earthshot Labs as a Full Stack Engineer. Karolina is responsible for implementing the frontend and backend of the LandOS product, Earthshot's platform for nature-based carbon project development. Karolina collaborates with internal and external clients and works closely with the Google Earth Engine platform for data extraction and analysis.

Karolina Jiménez completed their Full Stack Web Developer Nanodegree in 2019 from Udacity. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Customs Administration and Foreign Trade from Universidad de Costa Rica UCR in the period 2009-2013.
