Kevin Damstra

Kevin Damstra is an experienced professional in the field of interpretive services and recreation management, currently serving as the Regional Interpretive and Recreation Manager at East Bay Regional Park District since April 2009. In this role, Kevin manages six work groups, including Interpretive staff and Community/Volunteer Services, and sets agency-wide goals for the Interpretive and Recreation Services Department. Kevin has also held positions as a Supervising Naturalist and Naturalist at the same organization, supervising staff and creating educational programming for visitors. Prior roles include Region 9 Director at the National Association for Interpretation and Interpretive Guide at Xanterra Parks & Resorts. Kevin began a career in natural resource interpretation as a Park Ranger for the National Park Service, with seasonal assignments at notable national parks. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism from the University of Maine.
