Idi Aldo Guity has an extensive work experience in the field of law enforcement and criminal justice. Idi Aldo began their career in 2003 as a Juvenile Counselor at the Department of Juvenile Justice. Idi Aldo then served as a Correctional Officer at the Correction Department City of New York from 2006 to 2011. In 2009, they joined the New York City Department of Correction as a Correction Officer Investigator and later became a Captain in 2011. From 2018 to 2019, they held the position of Assistant Deputy Warden / Executive Officer at the NYC Departmen of Correction / Correction Intelligence Bureau.
Idi Aldo Guity also had involvement in various associations related to gang investigation. In 2018, they became the Vice President Representative of the ECGIA New York City Metro Area. In 2019, they accepted the position of Regional Director for the International Latino Gang Investigators Association's New York City Metro Area Chapter. Idi Aldo has actively contributed to educating law enforcement agencies about gang activities at the local, state, federal, and international levels.
In 2022, Guity took on the role of Director of Training at the National Latino Peace Officer Association Bronx Chapter.

Idi Aldo Guity earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a minor in Sociology from John Jay College (CUNY) in 2004. Later, from 2012 to 2014, Guity pursued a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources Training and Development from Seton Hall University. Additionally, in 2020, Idi obtained an Advanced Certificate in Correction Management from John Jay College (CUNY). In terms of certifications, Idi completed the Instructor Development Course - General Topics from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services in 2018 and became a certified mediator in New York State through John Jay College in 2004.
