Wesley Tay

Wesley Tay is a seasoned investment professional with extensive experience in venture capital and economic development. Currently, Wesley serves as Principal at East Ventures since January 2023. Previously, Wesley held the role of Acting Vice President of Venture Capital at the Singapore Economic Development Board from October 2021 to January 2023. Prior to that, Wesley was a Fund Manager focusing on Southeast Asia at Pavilion Capital from October 2019 to October 2021. Wesley has also held multiple positions at the Singapore Economic Development Board, including Regional Vice President for Southeast Asia, Regional Director of the Jakarta Office, Centre Director for Indonesia and Malaysia, and Assistant Head specializing in Cleantech. Wesley's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a Master of Arts in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from SOAS University of London.
