Giorgi Chitidze

Giorgi Chitidze, PMP, is an experienced project management consultant currently affiliated with the Hertie School. With a strong background in human rights advocacy, Giorgi has served as the Human Rights Program Manager at the Open Society Foundations since February 2015, leading initiatives to support civil movements and human rights defenders. Giorgi has also held various academic positions, including Professor of Law at the University of Georgia, Ilia State University, and Free University of Tbilisi, specializing in Human Rights Law. In addition, Giorgi has managed projects for the East-West Management Institute and the US Embassy in Tbilisi, demonstrating expertise in legal culture development and translation projects. Educational qualifications include multiple master's degrees in Human Rights from prominent institutions and a bachelor's degree in Law from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
