Rufus Nayo - Acca

Rufus Nayo has a diverse work experience spanning across various roles and industries. Rufus started their career as a Trainee Accountant at the Auditor General of South Africa in 2005, where they gained experience in preparing audit strategies, assessing client risk, and providing strategic leadership to the audit team. Rufus then worked as an Assistant Manager at the same organization, where their responsibilities included developing and executing the overall strategic plan of the audit.

In 2010, Rufus moved on to work as a Consultant at EOH Consulting, where they provided consulting services. Rufus also served as the Chief Financial Officer at ECSECC for a period of six months in 2011. Rufus then held the position of Chief Financial Officer at ECATU from 2011 to 2013.

In 2013, Rufus joined the Eastern Cape Development Corporation as a Financial Manager, and later advanced to the role of Regional Head for East London in 2016. During their time at the corporation, they gained experience in financial management and leadership.

In 2015, Rufus also worked part-time as a lecturer at Damelin (Pty) Ltd.

Rufus Nayo - ACCA obtained a ND: Cost & Management Accounting degree from WSU in the field of Cost Accounting & Financial Accounting in the years 2000 to 2002. Rufus then pursued a Post Graduate Certificate in Financial Accounting (Bcom (Acc) Equivalent) from NMMU in the field of Accounting and Finance from 2003 to 2004. In 2011 to 2013, Rufus Nayo - ACCA completed a Bsc Honours (Applied Accounting) degree in Accounting and Finance from Oxford Brookes University. Lastly, they attained a Professional Membership degree in Accounting and Finance from ACCA from 2010 to 2014.
