Michael Mercer

Michael Mercer has extensive experience in the Instrumentation and Automation field, currently serving as a Senior Trainer & Service Technician at Eastern Controls, Inc. since January 2022. In this role, Michael is responsible for training new technicians and providing technical support to both technicians and customers. Prior to this position, Michael worked at Cogentrix Energy, LLC as an O&M Technician, focusing on the maintenance and operation of Natural Gas GE 7FA units. Michael also held various positions at Eastern Controls, Inc., including Service Technician Supervisor and Field Service Technician III, leading and instructing junior technicians in diverse sectors such as Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Municipal, and Food & Beverage. Earlier experience includes working as a Field Service Technician at Philip R Walker and Associates Inc. Michael’s education includes training as an Avionics Techniciansmate Second Class in the United States Navy from 2009 to 2013, specializing in Micro/Miniature Repair.
