Kylie Roper has extensive work experience in healthcare management and administration. Kylie began their career in 1998 as a Learning Facilitator at Westpac and later transitioned into the healthcare industry. Kylie worked as a Health Management Intern at the Department of Health & Human Services, Victoria, Western Health, and the Australasian College of Health Service Management (ACHSM). In these roles, they gained exposure to various aspects of health service delivery and developed essential skills for managing healthcare challenges.
Kylie also worked as a Midwife at The Royal Women's Hospital and completed an ACHSM Health Management Internship at Epworth. Kylie further expanded their expertise by participating in The Observership Program, where they served as a Board Observer for the Koorie Heritage Trust.
Their most recent position was at Western Health, where they held multiple roles such as Operational Improvement Lead, Unit Manager at the COVID-19 Vaccination Hub, and Operations Manager in the Emergency Medicine department. Kylie also served as an Acting Operations Manager and Site Lead for the COVID-19 Response Team.
Kylie's work experience culminated in their current role at Eastern Health as an Associate Director of Quality & Safety for the Surgery Program.
Kylie Roper completed their Bachelor's degree in Direct Entry Midwifery from ACU Melbourne in 2014. Kylie then pursued a Masters in Health Management from the University of New England (AU), graduating in 2020.
