Ron Childress has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Ron currently holds the position of Chief Nursing Officer at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center since August 2022. Prior to this, from June 2018 to July 2022, they worked as an Associate Chief Nurse at Tulane University Hospital and Clinic. Before that, they held various roles at Tulane Medical Center, including Director of Nursing from January 2016 to June 2018 and Staff RN from June 2009 to December 2016.
Ron Childress earned a Bachelor of Science degree in College of Agriculture and Home Economics from Mississippi State University in 1992. Prior to that, they completed their college/university preparatory education at George County High School in 1988. Ron then pursued a Master of Science degree in Agriculture Education at Mississippi State University from 1992 to 1994. Later, they attended Pearl River Community College from 1997 to 2000, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Ron's education journey culminated with a Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Nursing Administration from Loyola University New Orleans in 2009.
