Ted Hogan (he/him/his) is a well-respected, detail-oriented senior manager who helps clients design and implement innovative programs, communicate impacts, transfer best practices and lessons learned, and ultimately inspire behavior change. With a singular focus on customer satisfaction, he has served the Transportation Research Board’s airport, highway, and transit research programs and has managed dozens of projects for federal and state agencies, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, and New York State Energy Research & Development Authority.
Ted serves as principal investigator across multiple TRB contracts. He leads ERG’s work disseminating the Airport Cooperative Research Program’s research results, organizes forums to enlist airport industry thought leaders to help identify and prioritize critical research needs, and produces communications materials and annual reports for state transportation departments and other transportation organizations. He has helped develop climate change communications guidance for Caltrans, coordinate a climate change impacts assessment for New York State, and research the effectiveness of outdoor water efficiency strategies employed by water agencies across the nation. With nearly two decades of project management experience, he excels at assembling diverse, multidisciplinary teams of technical and communications experts that consistently deliver top-notch results.
Ted is a member of American Association of Airport Executives and graduate of the Charlotte Douglas International Airport Aviation Academy. He earned his B.S. in sociology from James Madison University and an Executive Certificate in financial planning from Georgetown University.
