Michael Slaymaker has a diverse work experience in various organizations and roles. Michael started their career as a Training Consultant at American Media Incorporated, where they provided consulting services to clients in the Navy, Air Force, BellSouth, hospitals, and government agencies. Michael then worked as a Personnel Supervisor at Olsten Staffing Services, where they managed recruitment and training for clerical, accounting, and industrial employees.

Afterwards, they served as the Executive Director at the Hope and Help Center, where they implemented organizational development interventions and created a strategic development plan. Michael also worked as an Account Executive and Staffing Coordinator at Peoplemark, Inc, where they managed the recruitment and evaluation of temporary employees.

In 1998, they became the Development Director at the Orlando Gay Chorus, and in the following years, they worked as the Human Resources & Development Director at La Amistad Foundation, Inc. In this role, they increased annual contributions and created HR policies and procedures.

Michael founded the Orlando Anti-Discrimination Ordinance Committee in 2000, where they coordinated efforts to change discrimination ordinances and policies.

In 2005, they joined the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Central Florida Chapter as the Treasurer/Chapter Administrator, and received several awards for their outstanding leadership and fundraising efforts.

Michael then took on the role of Chief Executive Officer at the Orlando Youth Alliance, where they expanded programs and centers across multiple counties.

Lastly, they served as the Vice President of Grants & Planned Giving at Easter Seals Florida, where they doubled annual fundraising efforts and secured planned gifts for the entire state.

Throughout their career, Michael Slaymaker has demonstrated their expertise in fundraising, strategic development, human resources, and advocacy work.

Michael Slaymaker completed their Bachelors degree in Communications & Theatre at Central College from 1979 to 1983. Michael later pursued their Masters degree in Human Resources at Rollins College from 1997 to 1999.
