John Mooney

John Mooney is currently the Construction Manager at Easy Mile Fitness, a position they have held since November 2019. Prior to that, they were the Construction Project Manager at Easy Mile Fitness from December 2021 to November 2019. In this role, they managed the schedules of retail construction for several multimillion dollar builds in various states across the country. John was responsible for all phases of construction from real estate site selection, architectural/engineering documentation, permitting, construction and final inspection for each location. John also managed all aspects of the project’s day to day with several parties including contractors, vendors, in-house and field personnel to ensure a smooth and on-time opening.

In their previous role, John also vetted and implemented a digital construction management system and enhanced procedures to ensure prudent use of capital expenditures and communication to other stakeholders in the business. John followed a formal construction bid review process for approval that included recommendation of qualified bidders, preparation of standardized contracts, bid documents and specified qualifications. Additionally, they adhered to strict project cost control procedures to track actual expenditures and keep on budget while minimizing change orders. John reviewed job progress during construction for quality and timeliness, performed post-construction recaps to ensure stores were complete and there were no open issues to detract from store function or appearance and delivery of a quality finished project. Finally, they executed project closeout procedures that ensured adherence to contract and landlord requirements for lien waivers; retainage payments, warranties, construction allowances

John Mooney has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations from Florida Atlantic University. John also has a Certificate in Project Management and Leadership from Cornell University. Furthermore, they are certified by the Six Sigma Global Institute in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) and by the Project Management Institute in Project Management Professional (PMP).
