Johan Maurel 🦀

Johan Maurel's work experience begins in 2016 when they worked as a Software Engineer at Orange, specifically on the development of a high-performance GNSS tracking component for the 5GCar European research project. Johan also worked on system simulation and traffic orchestration engine development during this time.

In 2018, Johan transitioned to the role of an Embedded Software Engineer at Orange, where they focused on QT C++ development for embedded platforms such as TV decoders and STBs. Their main skills included C++ Qt, Python, Shell Linux, Docker, Buildroot, and Git.

From 2019 to 2021, Johan worked as a System and Software Engineer at Telespazio France. Johan was involved in C/C++ development of telemetry software for various launchers like Ariane, Vega, and Soyouz for the CNES/ESA space agencies. Their responsibilities included Linux kernel development, Linux OS toolkits development, low-level OS optimizations, Linux OS installation and management, and scripting using Bash and Python.

Continuing in 2019, Johan also worked as a Software Engineer at Davidson Consulting, where they gained additional experience in software engineering.

In 2021, Johan worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at KORYS TECHNOLOGIES, focusing on embedded software development.

In 2022, Johan joined Obspher as a Software Engineer, working on software development.

Most recently, in 2023, Johan joined EasyMile, taking on the role of a Software R&D Engineer.

Johan Maurel attended 3iL - Ecole d'ingénieurs en informatique - Limoges / Rodez from 2016 to 2019, where they pursued an Engineering degree with a field of study in Computer Science. In 2018, they also briefly studied at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, focusing on Computer Science. This specific stint does not mention a degree name.

In addition to their education, Johan Maurel obtained several certifications. In April 2019, they completed the "Hacking & Sécurité: expert v4" course at Sysdream, IT Security Services. Johan also achieved a score of 830 points in the TOEIC examination administered by the TOEIC® Program in August 2018, showcasing their proficiency in English. Moreover, they recently obtained a Penetration Testing Course certification from Virtual Hacking Labs in April 2022.
