James Distefano

James DiStefano, JD, MBA, SPHR, is a highly experienced professional in human resources and legal counsel, currently serving as the Senior Director of Human Resources & In-House Counsel at EBG since September 2019. Prior to this role, James held the position of Head of Human Resources for North America at imec, a leader in nano-electronics research and innovation, from October 2017 to September 2019. Additional experience includes serving as Director of Human Resources at the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, Senior Human Resources Manager at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and Immigration Counsel for the State of North Carolina. James began the career as an Associate at Paul Shearman Allen & Associates and as a Law Clerk at Leete & Kosto, LLP. Academic credentials include a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, an MBA from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst, and a B.A. in Economics and Spanish from Union College.
