Awais Athar

Awais Athar is a seasoned software development professional with extensive experience in academia and industry. Currently serving as Software Development Project Leader at EMBL-EBI since June 2015 and as Technical Advisor at auxcube since January 2022, Awais has previously held roles as Principal Software Engineer at Conrad Labs and Assistant Professor, Lecturer, and Instructor at the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences. Prior to these positions, Awais worked as Associate Director of e-Business Solutions at Orthoclear Inc., a Consultant at Algotrek Technology Consulting, a Senior Software Engineer at FCW Consulting Inc., and a Software Engineer at CresSoft Pvt. Ltd. Awais holds a Ph.D. in Natural Language and Information Processing and an MPhil in Computer Speech, Text and Internet Technology from the University of Cambridge, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences.
