Mahfouz Shehu

Mahfouz Shehu is an experienced open source developer currently at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) since November 2020, focusing on developing tools for microbiome sequence data analysis, including web interfaces and APIs. Prior experience includes roles as a Full Stack Developer at Image Plus Ltd and a Web Developer at CODERS4AFRICA INC, where responsibilities included web development and training coordination. Previous experience also spans IT Analyst at Phillips 66, focusing on bespoke IT software and cloud application development. Mahfouz is pursuing an MSc in Software and Systems Security at the University of Oxford, having earned a BSc in Computer Science from Coventry University.
