Kristen McAlpine

Kristen McAlpine has a diverse work experience. Kristen began their career in 2012 as a 2nd Grade Teacher at USD 480 in Liberal, Kansas. In 2014, they moved to rural North Carolina to become a 6th Grade Math Teacher at Craven County Schools. In 2016, they joined Conveyor Concepts of Michigan, LLC as a Design Engineer and Engineering Intern. In 2019, they took on the role of Mechanical Engineer at JR Automation. In 2020, they became a Paraprofessional at Careerline Tech Center. Most recently, in 2021, they began working as a Controls Engineer at EBW Electronics. During their time at Michigan State University from 2006-2010, they worked as a Math Tutor/Teaching Assistant and Lab Assistant.

Kristen McAlpine obtained their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Grand Valley State University between 2015 and 2018. Prior to that, they obtained an Elementary Education degree from Michigan State University between 2006 and 2010, with minors in Math and History. Kristen also completed a Study Abroad program at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2008. Additionally, they hold a Michigan Teaching Certificate from the Michigan Department of Education.
