David Rolin

David Rolin has a diverse range of work experience in the field of network and cyber-security. David started their career in 2012 as a Cisco Expert at Systemat, where they worked on a large network migration program. In 2013, they worked as a Freelance Network Engineer at ASCO and a Senior Network Specialist at Telindus Belgacom ICT.

From 2013 to 2015, David worked at ING as a Network and Security Engineer, responsible for designing the new network of the bank and migrating the facility management network. During this time, they also gained expertise in F5 BIGIP load balancer and web application firewall.

In 2015, they joined Easynet Group as a Network Security Architect, and in 2016, they moved to ENGIE as a Security Expert. David worked at ENGIE until 2022.

In 2021, David started working as an Expert Teacher in Cyber-Security at Haute Ecole Provinciale de Hainaut - Condorcet. David also became an Instructor at EC-Council in 2022.

Currently, David works as a Security Expert at Proximus, where they started in 2022. Alongside their professional roles, they have also owned and worked as a Freelance Network & Security Engineer at RD Services sprl since 2010, offering IT solutions and consulting services to small and mid-sized companies.

David Rolin's education history includes the following:

- From 2006 to 2007, David attended the University of Liège, where they pursued a DES degree in Entrepreneuriat.

- In 2014, they completed the Cisco CCNP Security program at Firebrand Training.

- Also in 2014, David completed the Cisco CCDP program at Firebrand Training.

- In 2010, they obtained a certification in Sales and commercial negociation from SKEMA Business School.

- From 2002 to 2006, David pursued a Master's degree in Industrial engineer in electronics and computer science at Haute Ecole 'Léonard de Vinci', Bruxelles.

- In 2004 and 2005, they participated in an exchange program at LUCA School of Arts, where they completed the 3rd year as an Industrial Engineer.

- In 2017, David completed the 560 Network Penetration Testing program at SANS, focusing on Network Penetration Testing.

- In 2020, they obtained the Isaca CRISC degree in Risc management from Cybrary.

Additionally, David has earned various certifications throughout their career. Some notable ones include the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (SAP) from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in July 2022, the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate from AWS in September 2019, the Cisco Certified Network Associate Cyber Ops (CCNA) from Cisco in August 2018, and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in August 2016.
