Wayne Schatz

Wayne Schatz is an experienced legal and compliance executive with a robust background in the insurance industry. Currently serving as Vice President Legal, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer at Echelon Insurance since August 2021, Wayne has previously held several senior legal roles at The Co-operators from 2010 to 2021, including Vice President and General Counsel for various divisions. Prior to that, Wayne spent over 13 years at The CUMIS Group, advancing through positions from Associate General Counsel to Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. Wayne Schatz holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan, a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and History from Campion College at the University of Regina, and a Masters of Management in Co-operatives and Credit Unions from Saint Mary's University.
