Jean de La Verpilliere has worked in a variety of roles in the fields of technology and business. From 2011-2014, they held a Field Internship at AGCO Corporation, Massey-Ferguson. From 2014-2016, they were a Graduate Researcher at Advance Nanotube Application and Manufacturing Initiative (ANAM). In 2016, they completed an MBA Cambridge Venture Project at Cambridge Judge Business School. In 2017, they held a 1-year Translational Fellowship from the University of Cambridge Nanotechnology Doctoral Training Centre, which enabled him to spinout Echion Technologies, where they currently serve as CEO and Co-founder.
Jean de La Verpilliere began their educational journey in 2001 when they obtained their French scientific baccalaureate from Lycée Aux Lazaristes, Lyon. Jean then attended Lycée Sainte-Geneviève from 2007 to 2010, where they earned their Classes préparatoires in PC*. In 2010, they obtained their Master's degree in general Engineering (Diplôme d'Ingénieur) from CentraleSupélec. Jean then continued their studies at CentraleSupélec in 2013, graduating with a Master's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. In 2011, Jean de La Verpilliere also obtained an IELTS Academic 8.5 certification. Finally, they attended the University of Cambridge from 2011 to 2013 as a Third-year Undergraduate in Engineering, and from 2013 to 2017 they obtained their PhD in Engineering, Nanotechnology Doctoral Training Centre, King's College from the same university.
