Mark Poole

Mark Poole has over thirty years of experience in the chemical industry. Mark began their career in 1988 as an Assistant Process Research Chemist at Glaxo Group Research. In 1993, they joined T&N Technology Ltd as a Principal Scientist, where they were responsible for developing patented solutions for reflective heat shielding. In 1996, they moved to Rohm & Haas Electronic Materials Europe Ltd as an R&D Manager and Senior R&D Chemist. In 2006, they became the Global R&D Manager at Rohm & Haas Electronic Materials LLC, a division of the Rohm and Haas Co. In 2010, they joined U-POL LTD as the Technical Director. In 2015, they became the Head of Operations (Interim) at David Ball Group Ltd and the R&D and Product Development Director at Nexeon Ltd. In 2018, they founded Dr M A Poole Consulting and in 2020 they became a Non Executive Director at Echion Technologies. In 2019, they joined Ozo Innovations as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Product Officer. In this role, they implemented the eloclear technology and was responsible for R&D, Engineering, Application Engineering, QC, Supply Chain, HSEQ, IP & Regulatory Compliance functions. Mark also transformed product and electrochemistry technology platforms, delivered investor pitches, developed product management tools and pricing models, and established reporting mechanisms, KPIs and objective based appraisal process.

Mark Poole has a diverse education history. Mark completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School from 1998 to 2003. Prior to that, they obtained a PhD in Corrosion from The University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology from 1989 to 1992. Mark also earned a BSc (Hons) in Applied Chemistry from the University of Portsmouth from 1985 to 1989.
