Fred Banfield

Fred Banfield is an accomplished mining industry leader with extensive experience spanning over five decades. Currently serving as the Chairman Of The Board at Eclipse Mining Technologies since January 2019 and as a Manager at After Mining LLC since December 2015, Fred engages in various activities including handball, golf, and mine evaluation. Previously, Fred spent more than 20 years as a Director at Seabridge Gold Inc until retirement in June 2021, and founded Mintec in 1970, serving as CTO and Chairman until its acquisition by Hexagon in 2014. Fred holds a degree in Engineer of Mines, Mining and Mineral Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, where education was completed from 1960 to 1965.
