Saba Sadegh-Pour

Saba Sadegh-pour has a diverse work experience, primarily focused in mechanical engineering. They currently work as a Mechanical Engineer at ecobee since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Myant Inc. as a Mechanical Engineer for four years from January 2018 to March 2022. In this role, they led the design process of various consumer electronic and wearable devices, collaborated with cross-functional teams, and sourced and negotiated pricing with suppliers. They also worked on testing and prototyping, designed jigs/fixtures, and trained new employees.

Before joining Myant Inc., Saba had various internships and roles. They worked as a 3D Printing and Design Intern at InkSmith 3D Printing in 2017. In 2016, they were a System Test Co-op at Synaptive Medical. Saba also worked as a Book Development & Quality Control Specialist at In-House Solutions Inc. in 2015. Additionally, they had internships at the University of Toronto as a Plasmonics Intern in 2013 and at the Town of Richmond Hill as a Summer Camp Counsellor in 2012.

Saba Sadegh-pour completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Waterloo from 2014 to 2019. Prior to that, they attended Langstaff Secondary School from 2010 to 2014 for their high school education. Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from the McGill Executive Institute in October 2022, a Mastercam Mill Essentials Certificate in May 2015, and a Principles of Healthy Child Development certification from HIGH FIVE in April 2012.
