Martin Hertig

Martin Hertig is a Design Researcher at ECAL University of Art and Design Lausanne since February 2021, focusing on creative applications for robotics within the "A Third Hand" project. Previously, Hertig served as Fachleiter Medienwerkstatt at Drahtesel since September 2020 and as a Design Researcher at ECAL from September 2018 to September 2020, contributing to the "Smartphone Peripheral Companions" research project. Hertig has extensive experience as a User Experience Designer at Puzzle ITC from July 2016 to August 2020 and worked freelance as a Web Designer & Developer from August 2010 to June 2016. Additional roles include Maker & Workshop Tutor at Jugendkulturhaus Dynamo during Swiss Civilian Service, and Software Developer positions at Comvation AG and Glue Software Engineering AG from 2004 to 2011. Hertig's educational background includes a BA in Visual Communication/Media & Interaction Design from ECAL and various other qualifications in design, engineering, and information technology.
