Mario V. Ramos-Garcés

Mario V. Ramos-Garcés has extensive research experience in various roles in different organizations. Mario is currently working as a Senior Research Engineer at Ecolectro, Inc. since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Penn State University from August 2021 to July 2022 and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Louisiana State University from September 2020 to August 2021.

Mario also gained valuable research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras from August 2015 to May 2020. Mario briefly served as a University Lecturer at Universidad Ana G. Méndez (UAGM) from January 2019 to May 2019.

Furthermore, Mario has had multiple visiting research positions at renowned institutions such as Stanford University and Caltech. Mario was a Visiting Graduate Researcher at Stanford University in 2018, 2017, and 2016, where they conducted research on the synthesis and catalytic assessment of metal-modified zirconium phosphate nanoparticles for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER), focusing on electrochemical techniques for characterizing OER catalysts. Mario also worked as a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow at Caltech in 2014.

Mario V. Ramos-Garcés completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras, from 2010 to 2015. In 2021, they began a Postdoctoral Scholar position at Penn State University, focusing on Chemical Engineering. This position is expected to conclude in 2022.
