Head Of Innovation Ecosystems & Strategic Partnerships at EcoPetrol

Laura Tobón started their work experience in 2012 as a Junior Associate at Suarez-Zapata Partners Abogados. Laura then worked as an Associate Lawyer in the Mergers & Acquisitions Team at Gómez-Pinzón Zuleta from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, they became the Chief of Staff at Superintendencia de Sociedades. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as the Secretary General and supported the Presidency at Ecopetrol. Laura then took on the role of Corporate Strategy at Ecopetrol from 2019 to 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Innovation Ecosystems & Strategic Partnerships at Ecopetrol, starting in October 2022.

Laura Tobón has an education history that consists of a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Law from the University of California, Berkeley, which they obtained from 2016 to 2017. Laura also holds a diploma in International Arbitration from the Arbitration Academy Paris, which they completed in 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Law from Universidad del Rosario, where they studied from 2007 to 2013.
