Frans Latjes

Frans Latjes has extensive experience in the renewable energy and sustainable development sector. Frans currently holds the position of Business Development Director Inclusive Solarparks at Ecorus, where they help accelerate sustainable ambitions. Frans previously owned and operated ENERZI Bureau voor Lokale Energie, providing customized support for solar energy projects. Frans also played a key role in establishing the concept of Eerlijke Zonnestroom Voor Iedereen, a collaboration between Ecorus, Enerzi, and the Nationaal Zonne-energie Fonds (NZEF) to assist energy cooperatives in setting up inclusive solar projects.

Prior to their current roles, Frans was the Co-owner and Director of GreenEnergi.dk, a solar energy developer in Denmark, Latvia, and Poland that focused on community ownership of solar power. Frans also worked as a Senior Consultant at Over Morgen, providing expertise in sustainable development. Frans played a crucial role in setting up Ecorus Nederland as Director, growing the team from scratch and establishing a strong position in the Dutch market. Frans also served as the Business Manager at GP Groot Energie BV.

Frans began their career as the Director and Owner of ProCensus, an advisory and engineering firm specializing in the management and development of public spaces. Frans successfully led the company for over a decade, solving complex spatial challenges with innovative and result-oriented solutions. Frans started their professional journey at Waterschap Hollands Kroon, where they served as the Head of the Planning and Projects department.

With their vast experience and expertise, Frans Latjes has made significant contributions to the renewable energy industry and sustainable development projects throughout their career.

Frans Latjes attended HTS Alkmaar from 1978 to 1982, where they studied civil engineering.
