Marcel Verhaart

Marcel Verhaart has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Marcel began their career as a PhD-student at Wageningen University, where they focused on biological hydrogen production from biomass. After completing their PhD, Marcel joined BioGast Sustainable Energy as a Project Leader, where they played a pivotal role in producing and distributing biomethane. Marcel then transitioned to Biogas Plus BV, part of the Engie Group, as a Project Leader and Senior Consultant, specializing in biogas installations and biology supervision. Currently, Marcel is working at Ecorus, where they have held multiple positions, including Project Manager for Solar and Operations Manager of the Ecorus Business division. In their current role, Marcel is responsible for managing business units and overseeing operations.

Marcel Verhaart attended Dorenweerd College from 1994 to 1999 for their secondary education. Following this, they enrolled at Wageningen University & Research from 1999 to 2005, where they studied Biotechnology.
