Jason Cooper has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of landscape architecture and planning. Jason is currently the Operations Director at Environmental Consulting & Technology, Inc. (ECT) since September 2019. Prior to their current role, Jason worked at Conservation Design Forum, where they held various positions including Director of Landscape Architecture and Planning from June 2018 to August 2019, Principal Landscape Architect from January 2014 to May 2018, and Senior Associate from June 2006 to December 2013. Before joining Conservation Design Forum, Jason worked as a Studio Director at Thompson Dyke & Associates from June 2000 to June 2006. Throughout their career, Jason has collaborated with diverse stakeholders and worked on a wide range of projects, including landscape design for Fortune 500 companies, recreational facilities, urban streetscapes, and natural area restoration projects.
Jason Cooper obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology from The University of Illinois, from 1991 to 1995. Following that, they pursued a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Michigan, completing it from 1997 to 2000. Jason also holds several certifications, such as being a Registered Landscape Architect from the Ohio Landscape Architects Board, which they obtained in April 2019. Jason earned their LEED AP certification from the USGBC in June 2006, and they became a Registered Landscape Architect in both Iowa and Illinois, obtaining those certifications in August 2018 and May 2001 respectively.
