Andrea Roethke

Andrea Roethke is an experienced nonprofit leader currently serving as the Managing Director of Strategy and Operations at Ed Allies since October 2016, where Andrea oversees policy and communications efforts aimed at promoting educational equity for Minnesota students. Prior to this role, Andrea held positions at MinnCAN, including Interim Executive Director and Deputy Director, focusing on education policy and organizational growth. Andrea's previous experience also includes serving as a Senior Policy Analyst at the Job Opportunities Task Force, where research and advocacy were centered on low-wage workers, as well as conducting applied research on workforce investment policies at the Johns Hopkins Institute for Policy Studies. Andrea holds a Master of Public Policy degree from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Spanish from the University of Minnesota.
