Omer Tariq Shafi

Omer Tariq Shafi is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in systems engineering and administration, currently serving as a Senior Systems Engineer at edara since September 2021. In this role, Omer leads a team of 40 engineers while managing operations to meet service contract requirements, overseeing project management for new product introductions and system upgrades. Prior to edara, Omer worked at LTI - Larsen & Toubro Infotech as a Level 3 System Administrator, handling security and operations for the ADWEA Group of Companies. Omer’s career began at Injazat Data Systems, where roles included System Administrator and Infrastructure Analyst, responsible for the IT infrastructure of a utility firm and managing a large number of Windows servers. Omer's earlier experience includes serving as a System Support Technician at Abu Dhabi Distribution Company. Omer holds an Executive Masters in Project Management from Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology and a Bachelor's in Computer Information Systems from London Metropolitan University.
