Shawn Wallace

Shawn Wallace is an experienced Application Engineer at EDAX, with a focus on demonstrating EBSD/EDS systems and developing software requirements since September 2015. In addition to this role, Shawn has provided freelance consulting for science education by contributing to a series of 14 library books on Earth Sciences, one of which received the 2016 Teachers' Choice Award from The Learning Magazine. Prior experience includes serving as a Scientific Assistant at the American Museum of Natural History, where tasks involved sample preparation, research on planet formation, data management, and student mentoring. Earlier roles include a Research Assistant position at the University of South Carolina, responsible for operating an electron microprobe and mentoring undergraduates. Shawn holds a Master of Science in Geochemistry from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Bowling Green State University.
