Francisco X. Pineda is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in real estate, investment management, and academia. Currently serving as the Executive Vice President of Asset Management at the New York City Economic Development Corporation since May 2023, Pineda oversees a vast real estate portfolio across all five boroughs, focusing on impactful investment strategies that drive socio-economic outcomes. As a Graduate Program Faculty member at Columbia University since August 2015, Pineda has contributed to one of the nation’s premier construction administration programs. Previous roles include founding and managing an integrated real estate investment company, serving as Senior Vice President of Investments and Development for a UAE Sovereign Wealth Fund, and holding various positions in investment banking and corporate strategy at notable firms such as Merrill Lynch and Hess Corporation. Pineda's academic credentials include an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Master in Public Policy from Columbia SIPA, with ongoing doctoral studies at NYU Tandon School of Engineering in Urban Systems.
