Kenny Freestone has extensive experience in product management and development. Kenny began their career in 1997 as the Director of Development at ELLIS, Inc., where they managed engineering, content, design, and testing teams through the release cycle of new and updated multimedia software products. Kenny was responsible for defining product strategy, features, and key enhancements, writing product requirements documents, and project managing start-to-finish product design, definition, and production. In 2004, they became the Product Manager at Ancestry, where they launched Ancestry.com's family tree product. Kenny was responsible for creating a shared vision, product requirements, setting prioritization, creating a promotion strategy, and managing the lifecycle development. In 2008, they joined AncestryDNA as the Product Director and Senior Product Manager, where they were involved in customer research, site usability, and web design, and was an advocate for the needs of Ancestry. In 2018, they became the Chief Product Officer at Eddy.
Kenny Freestone completed their MBA in Business Administration, Management and Operations from Brigham Young University in 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English from Brigham Young University in 1999.
