Matthew Hickes

Matthew Hickes has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Matthew began their career at Ukrops Supermarket, Inc as a Front End Associate/Market Associate from November 1999 to January 2004. Matthew then joined Food Lion as a Market Associate from September 2004 to May 2006. Following that, Matthew worked at The Mutual Fund Store from September 2006 to July 2013, where they held roles such as Client Services Manager and Senior Vice President - Investments. From June 2009 to July 2013, they also served as the Senior Vice President - Investments & CCO at The Mutual Fund Store, TMFS National LLC. Currently, Matthew is employed at Edelman Financial Engines, where they have held roles including Associate Director, Director, and their current position as Executive Director of Financial Planning since June 2021.

Matthew Hickes earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Virginia Tech in 2006. Matthew later pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Virginia Tech in 2015. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor from the College for Financial Planning in 2010.
