David Ford

David Ford is an experienced project manager, malacologist, and aquatic biologist at EDGE Engineering and Science, LLC since June 2020, with over 10 years of expertise in conducting unionid freshwater mussel surveys across the Midwest and southern United States. Prior to this, David Ford worked at Ecological Specialists, Inc. from June 2016 to June 2020, where a substantial background in environmental sampling was developed. Previously, David Ford served as an aquatic biologist and environmental scientist at Halff Associates, leading teams in Texas unionid surveys. Early career experiences include roles as a contract malacologist with Zara Environmental LLC and CNG Environmental, as well as a research assistant at the University of Texas at Tyler, where extensive data collection on unionid species was accomplished. David Ford holds a Master’s degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Tyler and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Northwestern State University.
