Ruth Smalley

Ruth Smalley is an experienced library and information management professional currently serving as the Subscriptions and Licensing Manager at Edge Hill University since September 2017. In this role, Ruth oversees library subscriptions for e-resources, manages the subscriptions budget, and negotiates with suppliers to optimize value. Previous positions include Eresources Team Leader and Systems Officer for the Digital Library, where Ruth managed various library systems and reporting. Ruth's experience also includes roles at LiveWire Warrington, where responsibilities ranged from ICT support to community outreach, and a work placement as a Librarian at the Royal Northern College of Music. Ruth holds an MA in Library and Information Management from The Manchester Metropolitan University, a PGCE in Secondary Music from Bretton Hall College, and a Bachelor of Music from The University of Sheffield.
