Hernan Kohnen

Hernan Kohnen has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Hernan started their career at Actionline de Argentina S.A. in 2004, where they worked as a Technical Support specialist and later became a Services Focal Point/Tech Support Team Leader.

In 2005, Hernan joined IBM as a Network Specialist, providing remote support to various US accounts. Hernan also took on the role of Identity and Access Management - Mainframe User IDs Administration, where they were responsible for logical access and updating documentation.

In 2008, Hernan joined AT&T as a Network Specialist, providing remote support to multiple US accounts including VF Corp, Fruit of the Loom, and Del Monte Fresh Produces. Hernan managed customer sites in Central America and the US.

Hernan returned to IBM in 2010 as a Network Architect, supporting the South America region. Their responsibilities included customer requirement analysis, network infrastructure definition, solutions design, and project implementation.

From 2011 to 2012, Hernan worked as a Senior Network Engineer at Globant, assigned to the Orbitz/Ebookers account. Hernan provided level 3 support and worked on various projects involving routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

In 2014, Hernan joined Marandú Comunicaciones SE as a Network Operations & Maintenance Manager. Hernan was responsible for the start-up of a Carrier Grade network and managed tasks such as network support, team selection, product design, and network monitoring.

From 2016 to the present, Hernan has been working at Leaf Group as a Network Architect/Engineer Consultant and later as a Senior Network Engineer. Hernan provides remote support for a US-based customer and is involved in various network-related tasks including device support, load balancers, wireless solutions, and firewalls.

Most recently, Hernan has joined Edge Solutions LLC in 2023 as a Senior Network Engineer.

Hernan Kohnen completed their education in a chronological order. From 1998 to 2009, they attended Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina 'Santa María de los Buenos Aires'\u200b, where they obtained a degree in IT Engineering with a specialization in Computer Science. Following that, from 2010 to 2011, they attended Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires and earned a Magister en Ingeniería de las Telecomunicaciones degree with a focus on Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications. Additionally, Hernan Kohnen obtained two certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) in 2023 from Cisco and JNCIA-JUNOS: Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate in 2011 from Juniper Networks.
