Chief Engineer - Datacenter Operations at EdgeConneX

Robin Van Leeuwen has a diverse work experience in the fields of datacenter operations, electrical and instrumentation engineering, and military leadership. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Engineer - Datacenter Operations at EdgeConneX, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Facility Engineer - Datacenter Operations at the same company from 2022 to 2023. Before joining EdgeConneX, they worked at ENGIE as a Technicus - inbedrijfsteller E/I from 2020 to 2022 and as a Junior Inbedrijfsteller E/I from 2018 to 2019. Their career began at Goflex Young Professionals B.V., where they completed an MBO niv. 4 education program in electrical engineering and instrumentation from 2013 to 2018. During this time, they gained practical experience in various projects and turnarounds as part of a maintenance team. They also served as a Leidinggevend korporaal in the Koninklijke Landmacht from 2008 to 2013.

Robin Van leeuwen's education history began in 2014 when they attended Albeda College in the Netherlands. They completed a MBO niv. 3 degree in Servicemonteur elektrotechniek (meet- en regeltechniek) in 2016. Afterward, from 2016 to 2018, Robin attended Techniek College Rotterdam and pursued a MBO niv. 4 degree in Servicetechnicus elektrotechniek (meet- en regeltechniek).

In addition to their educational degrees, Robin also obtained several certifications. In April 2014, they acquired a certification in Twin ferrule fittings. In December 2016, they obtained a certification in ATEX IECEx 05 – Unit of Competence Ex 001. In November 2017, Robin obtained a VCA vol certification. Finally, in January 2018, they completed a certification entitled "Working on flange connections according to protocol," though the institution where this certification was obtained is not specified.
