Felix Schuster

Felix Schuster began their professional career in 2006 as an Intern in Game Development at Rotobee Realtime 3D GmbH. Felix then moved on to become a Security Analyst at zynamics GmbH, before taking on an Intern role at Deutsche Bank's Cryptography Competence Center in 2010. In 2011, they became a Security Consultant at SEC Consult Unternehmensberatung GmbH. In 2012, they began working as a Research Assistant and Doctoral Student at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Systems Security Chair, and obtained their PhD (Dr.-Ing.) with distinction. In 2013, they took on a Research Intern role at Microsoft Research, and in 2015 they became a Researcher there. In 2019, they became the CEO and Co-Founder of Edgeless Systems GmbH, where they are building an open-source ecosystem for confidential computing in the cloud.

Felix Schuster obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Security in Information Technology from Ruhr University Bochum in 2015, after having obtained a Dipl.-Ing. in the same field from the same university in 2011.
