Alfred Mak

Alfred Mak has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Alfred started their career as a Systems Engineer at Proactive Technology Limited in July 2003 and worked there until December 2004. Alfred then joined Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Limited as a System Specialist in March 2005 and stayed until August 2006. Following this, they worked as a Senior Specialist at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. from December 2006 to May 2010. After that, they joined Hong Kong Mercantile Exchange as a System Support Officer in August 2010 and worked there until July 2013. Their most recent position was as a Senior System Engineer at Edgeware AB, where they led regional support in providing technical services and handled projects related to OTT/IPTV streaming products, CDNs, and media players for major telcos, broadcasters, and content providers in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Mongolia, and other areas.

Alfred Mak attended Saint Paul's College from 1992 to 1999 and graduated from Form 7. Alfred then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Computer Science at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from 1999 to 2002.

In addition to their formal education, Alfred obtained several certifications in the field of information technology. In 2003, they became a Microsoft Certified Professional. Following this, they obtained the HP ITSM Awareness and Team Building Workshop certification from Hewlett Packard in December 2005. In 2006, they obtained two certifications, namely the IBM Certified Lotus Professional and the Sun Certified System Administrator from IBM and Sun Microsystems, respectively. Lastly, in October 2007, Alfred obtained the Cisco Certified Network Associate certification from Cisco.
