Selen Ozakhun

Selen Ozakhun, PhD, currently serves as Program Manager for MN Education Programs at Ampact, overseeing training and technical support for service sites to enhance program fidelity and outcomes. With experience as an Educator in Community Education for both Edina Public Schools and Minneapolis Public Schools, Selen teaches Modern and Contemporary Art classes, promoting accessibility for participants from diverse backgrounds. Previous roles include Lead Academic Tutor and Academic Tutor with AmeriCorps, focusing on skill development for struggling learners. As Founder and Director of y65, Selen promoted job opportunities for women in underserved Istanbul communities, while prior experience as Partner and Director of Educational Programs at Ilka Design Studio involved teaching craft skills to enhance job prospects for disadvantaged populations. Selen holds a PhD in Art History and Contemporary Art from Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts.
